YourLand launches Society 1056 the first all-electric sustainable community West of Melbourne.

Innovative property developer, YourLand Developments today unveils an ambitious new community built with sustainability at its core. Society 1056, a 93-hectare site in the heart of Fraser Rise offers more than 1,300 lots only 24kms from Melbourne CBD.

This ground-breaking development caters to social and environmentally conscious individuals who value sustainable communities.  Society 1056 is all-electric and features more than 38 key sustainability initiatives, with the 5kw solar panels alone expected to save 8,000 tonnes of C02 per year which is equivalent of taking 1600 cars off the road.

The Society 1056 solar rebate scheme delivers an incredible benefit to residents in most cases eliminating the payback period and providing immediate savings on household energy bills. The combined impact of these initiatives provides both tangible environment benefits and household savings of over $3,000 a year for a 6-star home.

YourLand will plant more than four trees for every home, resulting in an impressive canopy of over 5,200 new trees, providing enhanced benefits from shade and natural cooling. It is estimated that residents of Society 1056 will enjoy an environment up to 7 degrees cooler than surrounding areas in the peak of summer. A pollination corridor is being constructed to encourage biodiversity throughout the site.
