SOCIETY 1056 UNVEILS CLUBHOUSE – COMMUNITY & LIFESTYLE-DRIVEN DESIGN
With a growing community already taking shape, YourLand has today launched its new lifestyle precinct at Society 1056 – a highly anticipated next step for one of Melbourne’s most forward-thinking new neighbourhoods.
Comprising more than 1,200 new homesites that will accommodate over 3,000 residents, this new stage marks the first to offer residents access to the future lifestyle clubhouse – a landmark communal space designed to enrich daily life with a focus on sustainable connection, health and wellbeing, and flexible spaces that adapt to a variety of uses, from co-working and yoga to family gatherings and community events.
Designed by leading architects ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects, the $15-million clubhouse is inspired by nature, utilising light, greenery, and natural materials to create a calm, inviting space, enhanced by passive solar design and rooftop gardens featuring locally endangered plants. More than just an architectural statement, the clubhouse will feature a magnesium spa and swimming pool, gym, yoga and pilates studio, co-working space, podcast room, multipurpose event facilities, a splash play zone, BBQ area, EV charging stations and more – all powered by solar and surrounded by greenery.
“The clubhouse is envisioned as the heart of the community – a living landmark that breathes with nature and connection,” says Ngaio Chalmers, Community + Culture Partner at ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects.
“Guided by the pillars of wellness and sustainability, it offers welcoming spaces to meet, relax, and reconnect,” adds Chalmers. “From earthy materials and reflective moments, to framed views of greenery and a planted roof that supports biodiversity, every detail strengthens the bond between people, place, and nature.”
Complementing this landmark amenity, the next stages will also introduce a new wave of residence options to suit the growing community. In addition to traditional homesites ranging from 176 sqm to 558 sqm, these stages will introduce a collection of townhomes by reputable Australian builders, offering smart, design-led residences that suit a range of buyers, from first-home buyers and upgraders to investors. Lot prices start at $276,000, with a collection of 24 display homes expected to open in early 2027. These successive stages will also deliver key infrastructure to support a thriving, well-rounded lifestyle, including a childcare centre, retail village, tennis courts, a proposed government primary school, a central waterway, and the planned extension of Sinclairs Road to enhance connectivity across the growing Fraser Rise region. Construction will continue over the coming years, with the clubhouse anticipated to open in early 2028.
“These stages bring our vision for Society 1056 to life,” says Andrew Jones, Head of Development – Communities at YourLand. “We’re investing in amenities and spaces that make daily life richer – from green parks and active zones to places where people can work, socialise and unwind. It’s part of YourLand’s bigger vision to create communities that prioritise people, wellbeing, and lasting value.”
Spanning more than 93 hectares, Society 1056 has become a benchmark for sustainable neighbourhoods in Victoria. Every home is fully electric and solar-powered, supported by infrastructure made from PolyPave, an asphalt product that includes recycled materials, and carbon-reduced footpaths, driveways, and kerbing. Rainwater harvesting supports extensive landscaping, while lighter-coloured pavements and rooftops reduce the urban heat island effect. Residents can choose from four low-maintenance, climate-smart front yard designs, and each home includes a complimentary EV charger. As the community grows, more than 5,200 trees will be planted across the project, helping reduce peak summer temperatures by as much as seven degrees, aided by green spaces, parks, and active zones. These innovations ease environmental impact while also helping to lower the cost of living, with estimated household savings of up to $4,300 per year* – or around $150,000 over a 30-year mortgage.
From day one, Society 1056 has been shaped by a vision of climate resilience, architectural quality, and long-term value for its residents – and the launch of these new stages continues to bring that vision to life.
