YourLand Developments
The Plumpton Aquatic and Wellness Centre took a significant step forward on the 22nd of July as the Melton City Council secured a 3.6-hectare plot in Fraser Rise for its construction.
The Plumpton Aquatic and Leisure Centre will move ahead following approval of the building masterplan at the 22 July Council meeting.
More than 1,000 responses were received, as part of community consultation during May 2024, one of the largest responses we have received on a project.
Based on the consultation, additional features approved include:
• A multipurpose/events space and rooftop deck
• An additional second program pool for learn to swim and aqua aerobics
• Refinement of the aquatic sensory space layout
• Relocation of the gym to the ground floor and group fitness to the first floor
• Increased car parking.
Construction of the Centre is expected to commence in 2025 and it is anticipated to open in early 2028.
The effort and details seen in both the Plumpton Aquatic Centre and the Society 1056 highlight a shared vision for creating vibrant, inclusive communities that prioritise the well-being of residents and the environment.
The ongoing transformation of Fraser Rise continues as it grows into a sustainable and thriving urban landscape.
